BIOMATERIAL EXPERIMENTS // BEACH PAVILIONS
These models were made at the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia as part of a research project into the way biomaterials might impact construction methods. Here, a flat acrylic sheet with parametric cutouts is dipped into a pool of hot pine resin and beeswax. Held aloft while the concoction dries, the sheet forms a pavilion with delicate, minimal surface columns and curtains of glassy sap. The result is a visual confusion between tension and compression, new spatial geometries that are resultant from natural material properties, and a pavilion typology which can be melted down and reconstructed continuously.
The project was then visualized as a beach pavilion using AI image generators.

VELOCITY MODEL
Here, the challenge was to build a spatial model that captured the conceptual and experiential qualities of "velocity". The study is made from micro-lumber, museum board, and a ping pong ball
VISUALIZATION
The photograph of the velocity model was used a base in AI image generators to imagine an exhibition space

Twister! By Other Means is a super-urban transit system in Beirut that seeks to reframe the agency of Beirut's Future War. The Future War's reintroduction into the built environment builds protective structures that might reduce the harm of the inevitable conflicts in Beirut's future. This project was developed as a Thesis in conjunction with the research paper "Reintroducing Non-Human Architectural Authorship"
